While there are several treatments available to exfoliate and improve the skin, dermaplaning at can provide subtle enhancement to your skin using your body’s own natural healing mechanisms, with no healing or downtime. Dermaplaning involves scraping and exfoliating the outer layers of the skin to tone, clarify, and smooth your skin’s texture to reveal a glowing, rejuvenated you. With our highly sophisticated dermaplaning technique, we can remove a weeks worth of dead skin cells that trap bacteria and debris underneath. This procedure can be used on a small, targeted area, or your entire face and will reveal beautiful, youthful skin.
During dermaplaning treatment, our medical team uses a sterile medical scalpel and gently abrades the surface with light, feathering strokes. This procedure is typically painless, and the experienced touch of our medical team will leave your skin feeling refreshed and opened up.
In addition to removing the vellus hair, or peach fuzz, covering the surface of the facial skin, dermaplaning also allows the skin to breathe and increases its ability to absorb skincare products and treatments. Microdermabrasion is a facial procedure that uses topical and manual exfoliation to remove the outer layer of skin. This process works in a series to reduce hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and acne scars through exfoliation. You will leave the treatment with fresh and smooth skin, which will begin to repair and rejuvenate itself to treat a number of skin concerns. We utilized sterile diamond heads to remove the outer layer of the skin, and all excess particles and dirt are vacuumed from the surface of the complexion. This treatment allows for better product absorption to see greater results from your skin care products that you use at home.
Microdermabrasion is a safe and gentle procedure with no downtime. The client will need to protect his or her skin with moisturizer and sunblock for 24 hours after the treatment and may experience mild redness and peeling. However, the client can return to work immediately, which is why many clients prefer to have microdermabrasion treatments on their lunch breaks since there is no downtime.
When it comes to microdermabrasion, one treatment will not provide visible results, however, it is important to have a series of microdermabrasions, and 4 to 6 are recommended for the best results. These initial 4 to 6 treatments can be spaced one week apart, and from that point, the client can continue to receive one treatment on a monthly basis for the best maintenance.
